16 October 2009 Well obviously the hiatus has ended in a full time split. Had a few people recently asking if albums are still available, they can be purchased from www.witheredhandrecords.com Members of ATM are doing the current bands/things: Pat Daintith is playing in punk band Hygiene Kev Gardner is playing in psych/prog/improv band Ophelian Donny Hopkins played in Pombagira before leaving to join sludge band Koresh and form Folk-Doom band Crumbling Ghost with John Mosley (who did vocals on Mitre Square on Cease to Exist) Craig Knaggs went on to breed a new type of antelope.
___________________________________________________________________________________ 19 January 2008 So it's been a while since the last update. We didn't play the Old Angel in December and in truth we're still kind of on hiatus. Hopefully we'll be back at some point, I'll keep you posted. In the meantime, we've just done an interview for Load of Noise Zine which should hopefully be out in the not too distant furture and the new album is in the shops and available online! ____________________________________________________________________________________ 21st October 2007 It's arrived!! We've finally received the new album! Not sure what the official 'shop' release date is yet, but sod that you can order it through the site and I'll send them out when I get payment! Go to the shop page to purchase the new album!! Also, I've updated the vids page. Lots of crap up there now.
____________________________________________________________________________________ 15th September 2007 Without wanting to quote Gary Glitter, but doing it anyway… Hello, Hello, it's good to be back, it's good to be back! We've finally finished our extended 'rest/split/mardy' and we're back in action again. The new album is being pressed, gigs are being booked, cobwebs are being brushed off amps, and vocalists are being broken in. It's been a long time since we were last properly active. The last gig we played was back in October 2006 at the last Everything Went Heavier in Nottingham. Then things all went a bit shit. As you may or may not know (and I'm not going into details), communication kind of broke down between Tim and the rest of the Mongs, and we decided to finish the album we'd already started writing, then record it and split up. But when we finally got round to recording it, things got worse and Tim quit the band. No massive drama, it's a band and these things happen. Tims fine, he's moved to Scotland and is still doing his folk thing and Naked Shit. But the rest of us decided that now, without the conflict and frustrations that came with having someone as active as Tim and as Lazy as the rest of us in a band together… we could now carry on. So here we are. First gig we've got booked so far is 15th December at the Old Angel, Nottingham with Charger. Take
a look around the site, It's a bit basic, but then so am I. |
